…In the colours of the Autumn
The heatwave is long gone and now it’s the time where we ditch our lightweight summer clothing and bring out our staple pieces that are suitable for the cooler season. However, we are reluctant to leave summer behind so easily and, for this reason, we will continue to wear colours that come from the sunny season, such as fuchsia and lilac.
This year’s autumn trends are all about bringing a fresh, optimistic, healing, and nostalgic take on fashion. With colour palettes, textures and patterns associating with happier and simpler times and to connect you with nature. According to the Pantone Colour Institute, this season’s colours “illustrate our need to break free of restraint and embrace the joy of being alive through super bright hues expressing energy-boosting vitality and the celebration of life”.
At Daphne have put all our effort into creating a versatile collection for the upcoming Autumn/Winter 2022-23. Of course, we will always leave room for the typical autumnal colours, such as brown and earthy tones, however adding daring colours such as passion red or emerald green, will help us reveal our true femininity after the pandemic and, to accompany us in this new era full of hope, energy and excitement.
Yellow
Yellow will play a big role this autumn. The colour is associated with the sun and adds a sense of uplifting warmth. After so many years in figurative semi-darkness, the positive shine of yellow clearly makes sense
PInk
The pink colour in its pastel shades is calming, lively, and delicate, complementing the autumn’s earth tones. However, its vibrant shades like fuchsia will add a bit of splash to any of your outfits this coming season
Green
Green has beneficial effects on the mind, helps you relax and reminds you of the outdoors. We have seen green all over the place in spring 2022, and it’s back again for autumn, but in a gentler, more subtle way – think light olives, khakis and spearmint.
Red
Red is an intense colour, expressing passion and energy, and is undoubtedly one of the most iconic shades for this new season
Earthy Colours
A fresh palette of warming hues that reflect on the natural environment. Colours that are inspiring, grounding and continue to connect us back to the finer and simpler things in life
